It was a fabulous Mother's Day today - couldn't have been better! Steve & M & M made a delicious breakfast with all my favorites! Blueberry pancakes, Rosa's Quiche, and a perfect cup of coffee. Mia made a very sweet card with a beautiful poem inside that just melted my heart when I read it. At school they sculpted little floral bouquet holders and Mia painted it a pretty key lime green. It is truly an artistic piece that I'll treasure for years. After bfast, we headed out to the A's Game for Scout Day. We met up with Skyler's family for the parade around the field before the game.
We lucked out with a gorgeous day, sunny and cool although it was a bit hot for most at times, but not me - you know me, I love the sun, can't have too much. Mia had a blast hanging out with Alisha, Skyler, Bea, and Grace, her fellow Brownies.
It was a great game, the A's were down in the 9th inning and came back with 5 runs to win it 10-7 over the Cleveland Indians. Afterwards, Mothers and children were able to end the game with a victory run around the bases!
Sorry Miguel, you were in the bathroom with Daddy and missed out in that one.. :(
Steve and I both made the calls to Mom during the game. Rosa was treated to the screams of the fans when the A's hit a homerun in the 5th inning. All in all a fabulous Scout/Mother's day with the family. Miguel's first baseball game!
After the game, we passed all the crazy Warriors fans heading to the playoff game. B offered to take me to one of the games in the 2nd round in exchange to letting Steve go to one of the 1st round playoff games, but today he was taking him mom and the rest of his family so we're at home watching the game.Steve just yelled so loud at the Warriors he totally freaked out Miguel. He's bawling now! Poor baby!
Happy Mothers Day to all! I am so blessed to have such a loving family all around.
